Hi Experts.
I have some mathmetical problem using statistic to monitor performance.
The below is result of statistics API (# /api/cluster  with ontap 9.6)
Large digits of number has shown and I would like to change this into milli second measurement.
For the information, statistics API poll data every 3 seconds, which is near real-time.
Any idea or comments on this?

LUN Dedupe and space usage

Working with a small FAS2750, 2 x ~10tb Aggregates.   The only intention for this system is to use for VMware datastores via iscsi.

It seems thin volumes, and unreserved space luns are the general recommendation for this setup.  What isn't clear to me is how to take advantage of the space savings from dedupe.  As far as I can tell the only way to access this saved space would be to over provision luns from a volume which just feels kind of strange.  I'd basically be taking a guess at what savings I might get and would need to watch space fairly closely.

Looking for suggestions or just confirmation that basically over provisioning luns is the only way to use the space savings in this scenario.

Change/Edit Timezone for ONTAP

Running v9.6P3.  I'm trying to correctly set the timezone for our NetApp.  I goto Settings\Data and Time and I've tried adding a known internal time server and have also tried a valid external.  After saving and then waiting for 30+ minutes, the time doesn't change and still shows "Etc/UTC" and records time 5 hours ahead of my actual timezone (CST).  This is extremely annoying in logs and viewing snapshots.  How can I correctly set this for my timezone?  Thanks!

In two-node (FMC) configuration (7mode MetroCluster) ontap 8.2.
When one node went offline another taken over the services but I don't see metrocluster switchover has happened and seems as simple HA pair when one goes down another will be in Node1takenover> to serve data to the client. Have you seen a similar setup if yes, please share your experience.

hello all,

on a 7mode filer with version [NetApp Release 8.2.4P5] we are trying to move a volume from one aggregate to another but it gives the below error:

FilerA> vol move start VolNAme  aggr1
vol move: Specified source volume has a qtree snapmirror destination

if we turn the snapvault / snapmirror off, move the volume then turn it back on there will be any risk or configuration loss on our snapvault / snapmirror ? if yes then what is the perfect solution for the matter ?

much thanks in advance...

Interoperability matrix tool doesn't list the compatibility against Active IQ 9.7 and API Services 2.2

I tried pairing API Services and Active IQ with throwing error as depicted in attached screen print.Error.JPG

Installation guide of API Services 2.2 doesn't talk about any compatibility issue with Active IQ 9.7

Any help on this pairing would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

System Manager Updates for C-Mode

Hi guys. Running C-Mode 9.3 clusters. I see system manager is baked into the cluster. Does this mean that any updates to system manager ship with the underlying OnTap version and hence to update system manager one updates the OnTap version?
