I have a problem, we have a 455TB volume that is at 95% of the capacity. No snapshots are cofigured, just snapmirror. 70TB of files have been deleted from volume from a lixux server, but the 70TB are not showed in the Netapp. I think this will take a few hours to be shown in the Netapp or i am wrong?

I have run into snapmirror transfer errors due to the destination is being full.
However the destination volume is not full, rather one of the two constituents is:

When I increased the size of the Volume ontap added the additional space to the constituent that was not full while leaving the constituent that was full in the full state.
volume modify -vserver name -volume My_1_vault -size +20TB

Is there any way to increase one specific constituent?
I was thinking that I could add a third constituent but it would still leave the full constituent full.

As per latest PowerShell tool kit 9.14.1.2401, Cmdlet "New-NcFlexcache" shows Flexcache feature is not supported in ONTAP 8.3, so this cmdlet works in ONTAP 8.2 or lower only.
I would like to know how to use FlexCache from PowerShell for latest ONTAP versions.

Just looking for a bit of an clarification here. We have a NetAppAFF-A150 running a CIFS/SMB SVM serving some windows network shares for us. Each of our shares has been given their own volume which we can scale up as needed. One of our volumes has been provided with 750gb of space. When looking at the share for the volume it is showing as ~75% filled at 563/750 gb used. However when I actually highlight all of my subfolders within the share and check their space used via properties, it only comes out to about 411gb. My initial thought was that snapshots must be making up the difference, however then I remembered that snapshots are just "pointers" to where the data is so they shouldn't take up much space (at least I think so? Please correct me if I'm wrong!). I just wanted to do my due diligence and see if any of you saw this offset in storage space as normal, or if it is something I should do further digging on. I have a script that can quiesce or abort on a single relationship (Invoke-NcSnapmirrorAbort...or Quiesce)
My goal is to have is to Invoke_ .... Abort on all volumes (active replication sessions). Can I supply a global value to DESTINATION to acccomplish this...or do i have to run the abort against each relationship? Or how? thanks
We want to automate a "kill" for all active sessions!

Hello fellow admins! I want to create a role that allows login to System Manager + full File System Analytics functionality but no other rights. I am having difficulty and could use some advice!
The first KB below describes creating a role like the one I want, but it doesn't work. To simplify, I gave the role "All File System Analytics operations" rights, using /*/ for the UUID. I created the domain account with the http, ontapi, and ssh applications. When trying to log in, I just got the spinning 'wait' icon with no error and no end in sight.
The second KB mentions the new built-in admin-no-fsa role which is actually to restrict FSA, however I thought it might help to see what it does so I could tweak a copy. I logged in this time but had too many admin rights, plus the two areas of FSA that should have been read only were not visible.
Any recommendations?

Hello, we are testing ARW on test volume and get alerts like:
"callhome.arw.activity.seen [ALERT]
Description: This message occurs when ransomware activity is detected. To protect the data, a Snapshot copy has been created, which can be used to restore the original data. If your system is configured to do so, it generates and transmits an AutoSupport (or "call home") message to NetApp technical support and to the configured destinations. Successful delivery of an AutoSupport message significantly improves problem determination and resolution."
Now how do I find out what caused this alert?? I've checked system manager's vol-security page, AIQ and even went to activeiq.netapp.com to check the autosupport it sent as the sections are readable from there. Absolutely no information what caused this ALERT...we have on-prem BlueXp and it doesn't support ARW.
So where can I see what happened and caused snapshot creation and autosupport?

The reason I am asking this is,
My environment uses NetApp as external storage for VMware, and due to a rule with the client, I can't stop the parcel (it would require an adjustment to stop it)
So, if I reload, the parcel will be down and it will be a critical issue.

I'm new to this community and started recently interacting with netapp server cli to run below task.
Here is my simple task.
1) we've huge GB of data to purge everyday like 30 or 40 GB based on application usage.
2) Our application installed on shared mount of netapp storage on linux server.
3) when we are trying to delete from linux server using regular commands it's taking like 30 hours to delete.
4) so I'm trying to use delete directories rapidly option to see how much time it takes to delete directories.

5) Above option is asynchronous and i can't tell how much time it takes to run above command.
6) I can check status of Job using "event log show" command
So my question: is there any way to tell how much time it takes to run delete command on netapp cli?

My outfit uses the NetApp OnCommand System manager v3.1.1 to manage NetApp FAS2520 storage.
I have noticed that the application is no longer available on the site because its End of Life.
Please advise on the best alternative application to use in managing our FAS2520.
