So we added some disks successfully to the aggregate and then resized the volume just fine. Went to resize the lun and I mistyped the size, it was supposed to be 7.5TB, but I did 75TB. The lun is thin provisioned and we have no rescanned from VMware, can I just decrease the size of the lun safely?

Just want asking. Previous our customer use the old license file and now support already help me generated new NLF file (single file) to replace to the old license key file.

My question is for the NLF file that I received, is it also know as ONTAP One license? I quite confused is it the NLF file is same or refer to ONTAP One license. Thanks

Hello and sorry for my bad english 🙂

We have 2 cluster C250 (ONTAp 9.12) with new switchs Aruba. We have also Vmware with storage ISCSI on Netapp clusters.

When we do Vmotion storage from Vmware, we can see on cluster that the latency is high 70ms and sometimes more than 100ms. When the vmotion is finish, it come back to less than 1ms.

Do you think is normal this latency when we do vmotion or not ?

I'm using the ONTAP 9 REST API and have an issue: After I successfully create the volume snapshot, I can not immediately get the volume snapshot that I just created. I try again after 2-3 seconds and can get my created volume snapshot.

Can I know Why I can get the created volume snapshot immediately? Do we have any document or KB of NetApp about that issue?

Hello!

We have A700 4-node FC metrocluster. ONTAP version is 9.12.1P14. I have successfully installed demo S3 license for testing purposes. But the problem is that i can not enable S3 protocol when creating new SVM. Also, there is no option "Bucket" in System manager.

I did not notice the same problem on other systems before.

Did i missed something here?

Can you help me with this issue?

When setting export-policy rule through API communication, export-policy ID is required.

ex)

POST /api/protocols/nfs/export-policies/12884901899/rules { "clients": [ { "match": "10.10.10.101" } ], "protocols": [ "any" ], "ro_rule": [ "any" ], "rw_rule": [ "any" ], "superuser": [ "any" ] }

However, I don't know the API phrase to get export-policy ID.

So I had to check it directly with GUI or CLI's Cammands.

I want to work only with API.

I want to get export-policy ID through API and set Access IP of nfs using API for export-policy rule.

Could you please tell me the API phrase to get the value of the ID of export-policy?

Since I upgraded my Powershell to 9.15.1.2407 the pipeline function no longer works. No matter the command, it always errors with Volume parameter neither specified nor set. Below is screenshot example of the error message. Any ideas?

We have a cluster with a cloud tier to storagegrid. We plan to decomm both the nas cluster and storagegrid cluster. Since you can't detach aggregates from cloud tier what do you do when decom'ing? Normally you would use fabricpool mirror to switch cloud tier. In this case what is done?

I am having an issue in many production scripts that are taking advantage of the 'Connect-NcController -Transient:$true' functionality to not set the global variable when connecting to a controller, and instead assign that connection to my own custom variable.

It all works fine, except the first time I try to do ANYTHING with that connection it will fail with a generic error coming from the module commandlets. The same action will work fine the second and every other time after that first failure.

Hi There,

I'm facing an issue with our Netapp, where the repository reached 100% of capacity usage which led to a Failed Disk pool and an over threshold Volume

For information,

Disk pool Capacity: 400 TB

Volume: 50TB

Repository: 10TB

The setting for the Thin Volume was set to "Manual"

I can increase volume capacity but I can't increase the Repository capacity, I always git an error message:

Error 651 - The operation cannot complete because the repository volume associated with the reserved capacity is in a failed state.

Operation when error occurred: PROC_expandConcatVolume

Also, when I try to change the setting for the Thin Volume to "Automatic", I'm getting this error:

Error 18 - The operation cannot complete because of an internal target error. Please retry the operation. If this message persists, contact your Technical Support Representative.

Operation when error occurred: PROC_setThinVolumeCapacityThreshold

Can you please advise how to do to solve this issue, since the storage is no more available on the ESXi servers

Is this possible using only standard EMS alert notifications?

Share name on Netapp end : Environmental

Restored Data from Data Domain (Backup Team) : Environmental_restored

Our Backup team have restored data from Data Domain and the Share name on Netapp is as mentioned above.

Backup team is saying why we are not able to see the Environmental_restored on Netapp Storage.
